Joy hails from New York where she received a BFA from New York University (NYU). She is the founder of Word Up! Language Enterprises. Prior to joining ARINGO, she worked as a journalist, writer and editor for a variety of newspapers and magazines around the world, including The Jerusalem Post, Women’s eNews and The Oriental Morning Post.
Joy’s short stories have been published in the popular book series Cup of Comfort. She created and edited the Position Purple Herald, an international newsletter, and she is the former assistant editor for both the Middle East Review of International Affairs (MERIA) Journal and Women’s International Net (WIN) Magazine.
On the managerial front, Joy managed Dojo East, Dojo West and Around the Clock restaurants in New York, in charge of a floor staff of 40 people and a kitchen and maintenance staff of 20. Joy’s experience working with people also includes lecturing on subjects related to personal development and self-awareness.
