Wharton has reported that its alumni will no longer conduct admissions interviews, but will instead fill different roles in the admissions process. Current students and admissions committee members will be responsible to conduct interviews around the world.

The main reason for this change is the fact that conducting interviews limits alumni in their interactions with potential candidates, and currently they can offer more help in the area of candidate recruitment.

With this in mind, Wharton is constructing an online portal in which alumni can provide additional information about candidates that will be sent directly to the admissions committee and attached to the candidate’s materials. Wharton will also finance alumni-run recruitment events to market the program to accepted applicants.
